My Summer Plans

I'm so excited about the things Dad & Mom have signed me up for this summer. For the first time ever I'll be doing gymnastics. They have been talking about me starting it for a long time now, but I think this is my "test it out" week. That's June 30-July 4 from 8-12. Mom just told me that I will be going back to Scholastics Arts for Summer Camp!! 4 weeks with all my friends - Monday & Friday 12:30-3. That really makes me happy. I was really sad to tell them bye on our last day of school. So now with my summer reading, gymnastics and summer camp my summer is getting full. I hope to go swimming a lot too.

QT with Mom, A goal met

Yesterday, Mom and I spent some time together. First we went to our favorite place to eat breakfast, The Good Egg. It was delicious, as always. Then we went shopping at our favorite store, Target. Finally, she surprised me with a trip to Paint Yourself Silly. I got to pick out a few things to paint. The people there cook it, and then it becomes beautiful art. I sure had fun, and love spending time with her.

I also hit a milestone in my summer reading program. I hit the 6 hour mark. I have read, or have been read to, for a total of 6 hours so far. Not bad for a little over a week. I am eligible for my first prize, a sticker. My next goal is 12 hours. I get a coloring book when I get that. I was so excited I told Dad I was going to read ALL DAY today. I told him I wasn't going to watch TV or play. Well, TV and playing got the best of me, but I'll read some tonight.

Butterfly Treehouse

Yesterday, we went to Target and bought a Butterfly Treehouse. It does the same thing as that Butterfly Pavillion, but was half the price. I also got a Spongebob Squarepants 70 piece puzzle. All told, it was like $20. Here's the good news. I had a Target gift card left over from my birthday. I didn't even need to spend the money we counted!

Discovered Treasure

Today, I wanted to see if I had enough of my own money for a butterfly pavilion. Dad said they are like $30 and I'd have to buy it myself, or wait for someone to get it for me for a present. Well, my birthday isn't until April, and who knows how Santa's naughty/nice list will work out for me, so I decided to count my change I've been saving in my banks. I have three of them, a monkey, a Raggedy Anne, and stack of blocks.

Dad and Mom helped. After we were done counting, they seemed surprised. They told me I had $127. Dad said I could buy a butterfly mansion with that much money. That's good, because I want the butterflies to be happy.

Here's all my loot -
